Citing his proven professional, legislative and administrative experience, the Hawaii Fire Fighters Association, Local 1463, has endorsed Kirk Caldwell for Honolulu Mayor.
“Kirk is clearly best qualified to be our Mayor.”
In describing their endorsement, Robert Lee, HFFA President, said, “We know Kirk Caldwell and like his style. We worked with Kirk when he was Managing Director and Mayor and like how he relates to and deals with people. He will listen to different perspectives before making a decision and will take the time to explain decisions after he makes them.”
“How you do your job is just as important as what you do. It’s all about character. Kirk is honest, he really cares about people and he goes out of his way to treat everyone with dignity.”
“We don’t always agree with him, but we like his approach to problems and collaborative style.”
“We believe that Kirk Caldwell has a proven track record in support of the firefighter and the issues of concern to the fire fighter.”
The Hawaii Fire Fighters Association represents fire fighters from all four counties and state airport fire fighters. The union has 2,900 members statewide and more than 1,700 current and retired fire fighters on Oahu.
