Kirk’s fundraiser tonight at the Japanese Cultural Center was an incredible success with a large crowd of excited supporters.
Spirits were high as Kirk welcomed visitors to the Center’s packed Manoa Grand Ballroom in Honolulu’s bustling Mo‘ili‘ili/Kapiolani area. Kirk seemed to feed off the high energy of the many residents who came out tonight. They got a chance to speak with Kirk and find out more about his plans for Honolulu’s future.
The lively atmosphere created by the taiko drums played by Kenny Endo, an Okinawan Lion Dance, and eager masses of people waiting in line to sample some of D.K. Kodama’s ono cuisine didn’t make for most intimate of settings.
However, Kirk still found a way to share warm, sincere conversations and personal moments with those who came out. It left many hopeful and enthusiastic for a Honolulu with Kirk at the helm.
